- The LSR Colombo Marathon is an annual international road race held in Sri Lanka, usually on the first Sunday of October. It features a full marathon, half marathon, 10 km, and 5 km events, attracting thousands of runners from around the world. The race starts in Colombo and ends in the coastal town of Negombo, offering scenic views of city streets and the Indian Ocean. Organized by Lanka Sportreizen and recognized by AIMS and World Athletics, it is Sri Lanka’s premier long-distance running event. Despite its beauty, the tropical heat and humidity make the race physically demanding.
